A life of choice for people with disability

Kurrajong Lifestyle Choices in Leeton and Narrandera currently supports 55 local people to participate in activities they enjoy to contribute to having a happy life.

Kurrajong supports are designed for each individual person and are developed based on activities of interests around social and recreational activities, life skill development and community connections.

Popular lifestyle supports provided in Leeton and Narrandera include:

  • Drama, dance and performance classes
  • Art and music lessons
  • Woodwork, sewing and cooking groups
  • Weekly social groups
  • Sporting activities
  • Individual skill development and training

Dave Nicholls (pictured right) is a Kurrajong client who has a passion for art and drawing.

Dave has support from Kurrajong to increase his skills in art by linking in with local classes and people with similar passion.

Dave also attends Kurrajong's drama and performance group, various social groups and the local gym.

He has also recently obtained his learners driver's licence and is working towards obtaining his RSA and RCG certificate.

Caitlin Andracchio (pictured above right with Luke Hevern) is a Kurrajong client who enjoys drama and performance. Caitlin had a major role in Kurrajong's recent production of Grease, which was a huge success.

She also enjoys volunteering weekly at a local primary school and improving life skills such as cooking and money management.

Caitlin chooses her supports from Kurrajong with her NDIS funding.

Kurrajong is a registered National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provider, and can work one-on-one with people with disability and with their families and carers to help them understand the NDIS and what can be funded with their NDIS plan.
