NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has urged parents to keep their children at home, however, due to the reality of some parents not being able to accommodate the recommendation, schools have continued to open their gates to students.
Mr Spina believes the right measures are in place to ensure that teachers can continue to do their job, but now from within the walls of their own home.
"The majority are working from home with the online learning," Mr Spina said.
"All our classes are now fully online and we've had only a few students at school.
"That's been really successful, we've been really happy with the way we've done that."

With St Francis being a boarding school, there are fears regarding the spread of coronavirus on school grounds, which is also the students' place of residence.
However, Mr Spina believes the right measures are currently in place.
"At the moment we have a couple of boarders that are still in residence and following the social distancing guidelines," Mr Spina explained.
"Certainly our preference would be that people follow the directions of the Premier and keep their kids at home, but until we're directed otherwise, we'll do what we're told."
The updated teaching method has ensured students still have access to an education regardless of their current situation.
