Magistrate Joy Boulos sentenced several young drivers in court on Tuesday, leaving her wondering why the message wasn't getting through.
Most of these matters were for mid-range offences, but Ms Boulos said even those at the lower end of the scale continued to put the community at risk.
"We see it time and time again, these drink driving matters before the court," she told the court.
In one case, Alex Philip Wales was admonished by Ms Boulos when he was sentenced for a mid-range drink driving charge dating back to January 16.
As soon as you get behind that wheel when you've been drinking, you're putting the community as risk.

The Leeton resident was stopped by police in Griffith after pulling out of a supermarket car park and crossing onto the road side of the road before failing to indicate when turning.
He was subject to a breath test, recording a positive result of 0.08.
In fining Wales $400 and disqualifying him from driving for three months, Ms Boulos warned him and all drivers to stop drinking and driving.

Several times during the morning sitting of court, Ms Boulos referenced the tragic case in Sydney from earlier this year where an alleged drunk driver killed several children all from the one family.
She said this alone should be enough to scare motorists into acting responsibly.
