With school holidays in full swing, there was plenty of activities for students enjoying their break, including fun at the library and the pool.
Resident Karl Wicht spoke about his drag racing feats, while businesses such as GetSet were hitting the ground running in the new year.
Cricket and lawn bowls were also back for the start of the year and fire ripped through a property, destroying it completely.
