In March, it was announced officers were stopping stationary random breath testing and mobile drug testing (MDT), with NSW Police confirming it would stop major roadside operations during Coronavirus restrictions.
While stationary testing isn't happening at the moment, Murrumbidgee Traffic and Highway Patrol Command Sergeant, Steve Mallam, said drink and drug driving continued to be a priority.

"While stationary random testing may have temporarily ceased, we continue to remain focused on traffic enforcement strategies including random mobile RBT and MDT," Sergeant Mallam said.
"People driving over the legal BCA limit in NSW, be it low range offence or their first time, may have their driver's licence suspended immediately by police.
"Anyone who thinks the police have gone indoors, away from the virus, think again.
"We will still be pulling over road users breaking the law in order to keep our roads safe."
