AS I write this, it seems that, maybe, just maybe, life might be heading in the direction of "normal".

That's if we will ever actually again see what has been our traditional "normal".
Many Leeton business houses have taken steps in their businesses, because of COVID-19, and that will stay with them for many years to come.
Whether it has been a shift in focus with the ongoing cost structure of the business to help insulate them against future "shocks", ie staffing, fixed costs or in the day-to-day operation of the sales side of the business, or by focussing more towards online services and delivering more of their product to their valued customers.
There is also the chance to enable staff more opportunities to work from home on an ongoing basis or getting into the habit of holding group meetings via zoom.
Maybe this will become part of our new normal?
Over the last two months, the Leeton Business Chamber has been busy compiling a weekly e-newsletter, with the most up-to-date information that we can find to help local business navigate their way through the evolving announcements, government grants, state and federal regulations and various resources.
This information has been well received.
As we now start to look at "the other side", what I do know, is that supporting local Leeton business will become more important than ever, as we all find our way out of what has been a torrid start to 2020.
A special thank you Leeton from our local businesses who greatly appreciate those who have been shopping locally during these trying times.
Several have mentioned how appreciative and even overwhelmed they are of the support they have been receiving and how they would have really struggled without this.
