Jodie Ryan and Krystal Maytom (Roden) are business advisors with the Business Enterprise Centre, better known as BEC Business Advice.

The pair are both based in Leeton, but assist businesses throughout the MIA and wider regions.

Both bring years of experience to the BEC, which is a not-for-profit organisation that is funded by the NSW government's Business Connect Program.

"With me as an National Disability Insurance Scheme specialist, I can work with businesses on that, helping them set up and everything in between," Jodie said.

"It's been a really busy time at the moment, particularly with the pandemic.

"There's been a lot of engagement and businesses getting in touch with us.

"We've got so many resources to help businesses and being based in Leeton, we certainly have a big focus on keeping everything strong here."

Jodie has worked in the employment industry over the years and has an expansive knowledge of the trade industry and apprenticeships.

All of this has combined now to allow her to help businesses of all varieties with a range of inquiries. The best part is - it's all free.

There's no doubting it may be a tough time for businesses at the moment thanks to the pandemic and overcoming the economic challenges in the months ahead.

However, that's where the BEC can step in.

The staff here in Leeton have knowledge on all kinds of assistance that is available, grant funding programs, tips to improve your business and much more.

Krystal has only recently joined the BEC in Leeton and her focus has currently been helping businesses through the COVID-19 pandemic, but she has a strong passion for assisting women in business to broaden and reach their potential.

Bringing businesses together is also something the pair enjoy doing to provide networking opportunities and building ideas between employers of all the many and varied businesses in the area.

Krystal is currently in the middle of planning an evening with Pages on Pine and Lillypilly Estate Winery where residents can enjoy a two-course meal from the former and a bottle of wine from the latter all for just $25.

The idea will be for participants to enjoy their meal together over Zoom, while hearing from chef Eric Pages and winemaker Robert Fiumara, with Krystal to also chat about the BEC and its role.

The event will be held on May 28.
