The church applied for heritage funding from Leeton Shire Council to repair the area around the window.
Father Robert Murphy said in the beginning there was uncertainty whether the church would fall into the heritage category.
"So we put in our application and the window was assessed and in the end we were successful in getting the grant, which paid for half of the work," he said.
"The rest of the money came from our Anglican Women's group and a donation from a parishioner.

"The work was done by Darren DeMamiel and we can't fault his professionalism."
St Peter's Church is now 46 years-old.
"Like all 46 years-old, it was time for a bit of a facelift," Fr Robert joked.
"No work had been done to the window since it was installed.
"What happened was all the woodwork on the outside had 'perished'."
This meant the work involved taking off the protective screen of the window and having that re-painted, taking off the woodwork and putting more on and having it painted as well.
There was some concern the glass may have been needed to come out as well, but in the end it wasn't necessary.
"That saved a lot of time and a lot of work," Fr Robert said.
"The window itself has never been cleaned, which says a lot about the environment we live in.
"Our greatest enemy is red dust, which is easy enough to remove, but luckily we don't get the grime and pollution build up here."
The window is a feature known to be included in buildings designed by ecclesiastical architect Louis Williams.
"He uses this idea of diffused light and little LED light panels," Fr Robert said.
"Any church you see that was designed by Louis Williams such as in West Wyalong, Griffith and Hillston, uses this idea of diffused light."
Fr Robert was confident the repair work would see the window live out another lengthy period of time before needing another touch up.
