Scheduled to be held on October 31, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused some uncertainty as to whether or not it will be able to go ahead as planned.
While restrictions are being eased, there is no telling at the moment when large crowds will be able to assemble together outdoors.
The Leeton Relay for Life is an overnight event, meaning participants typically camp out for the evening while completing their laps throughout the 24-hour period.
With all of this in mind, a call is yet to be made regarding the 2020 event.
Organiser Grace Capaldi said it was hard to predict what direction the event should take to ensure everyone's health and safety.
"We just don't know at the moment ... it's all pretty much up in the air at the moment," she said.

"Obviously some restrictions are easing, but what that will look like months down the track, we just don't know yet.
"We would still love to hold the event, but of course everyone's health and safety is the main priority."
The event had planned on having a Halloween theme in 2020 given the date it was due to be held.
"It's hard because we were all so excited about the theme and getting the community involved," Ms Capaldi said.
"I know Wagga's Relay for Life was postponed until November, with ours at the end of October, it could quite possibly still go ahead.
"Until we find out more about procedures, it's just hard to know, but fingers crossed."
Relay for Life is a fundraiser for the Cancer Council.
During the coronavirus pandemic many organisations and charities such as this have missed out on vital injections of money with fundraising events needing to be cancelled and called off.
Ms Capaldi asked Leeton shire residents to still keep the event in mind in the hope that it may be able to go ahead.
She said she would share any news as soon as a decision is made.
