As the weather continued to be hot, the Leeton pool was the hub for many activities, including events for youth, as well as swimming carnivals as school students returned for the new year of learning.
The Irrigator was also taken on a tour of the Freedom Foods factory at Murrami to check out how it all works.
The shire's churches were gearing up for Lent, with St Peter's Anglican Church preparing for its annual pancake relay and feast.
The library's storytime sessions also provided a haven from the heat indoors.
