We have all had some challenging times in recent months due to necessary restrictions of physical distancing and social isolation placed on everyone, but the opening of the club will mean we will be able to gather again for meetings with plenty of room for physical distancing.
Our women's auxiliary gathering will be held on June 5 with lunch at 1pm at the Leeton Soldiers Club.
Now the auxiliary is no longer a separate entity from the Leeton RSL Sub-branch, there is no requirement to have executives or hold formal recorded meetings.
However, we will continue to still have an informal gathering on our usual meeting day, but start a little earlier with lunch.
MORE NEWS
Members can either participate in lunch or simply come join the chat.
As a result of changes in our structure with the updated constitution of the RSL, the auxiliary are now welcome to attend the meetings of the Sub-branch, but are not able to vote or hold executive positions unless they become full members.
We will definitely continue to support and participate in fundraising for the Sub-branch.
This first meeting of the RSL Sub-branch will be held on June 7 at 11am in Mountford Park, with lunch to follow.
Our wonderful SunRice Ambassador, Belinda Melham recently presented a cheque to our Sub-branch.
Despite the loss of fundraising opportunities due to the pandemic, Belinda still continued on until the very end doing her upmost to raise as many worthwhile funds as possible.
We do hope everyone has taken care of their own health during this time and not allowed the restrictions to impact on your need to visit or contact the doctor regarding other health conditions.
