COVID-19 restrictions meant the library was one of many public places to be closed when measures were first introduced.
However, after the state government recently announced libraries across NSW could re-open, the Leeton library rejoiced.
Late on Monday afternoon staff were given the green light to re-open on Tuesday morning and it was full steam ahead.
Staff excitedly greeted those who headed through the doors and said they were looking forward to seeing residents back again. However, as is the "new norm" these days, there have been some slight changes at the library.
"We will be operating our usual hours and are so looking forward to welcoming our library users again," Leeton library manager Terry O'Keefe said.
"There are specific safety issues we must address so we comply with the government health order.

The library will continue to offer its programs, such as storytime and baby rhyme time, online it can not have groups meeting in the library spaces at this point.
All returns will be quarantined for 24 hours before re-shelving, and cleaning protocols are in place.
"We will have four public computers for use and our rooms and verandah will be unavailable," Ms O'Keefe said.
"If people are unwell, they are not permitted in the library and will be directed to leave immediately.
"On a happier note, we have many new books. All waiting to be borrowed by their perfect reader."
