The state government made the announcement on Wednesday morning, which now gives codes across the board the go-ahead to officially determine how their seasons may look.

For the Crows netball sides, this means likely waiting until June 30 for the result of an AFL Riverina board meeting, which will determine their season, as well as their football counterparts.

Leeton-Whitton's A grade and A reserve sides are this year being coached by Rachel Broadbent, who said the teams had been back training for the past three weeks.

Each grade has been training on separate nights at the Leeton Showground courts, mostly focusing on fitness and ball skills at this stage.

"It's been hard with all of the uncertainty and not knowing what is going to happen," Broadbent said.

"But, the mood at training has been really positive.

"All the girls are really happy to be back together."

The Crows netball sides had enjoyed a fruitful pre-season, with upwards of 30 players from across the grades attending the training sessions.

When that was put on hold, players were required to keep their fitness maintained as best as possible during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Broadbent said players were keen to get back on the court in a competitive sense and was hoping to have a decision on the season sooner rather than later.

The A and A reserve sides are set to have a good mix of youth and experience in 2020.

Several familiar faces are re-joining the Crows ranks, including Libby Gillespie, Michaela Fiumara and the McCallum sisters - Keira and Jenna. "We've definitely got a lot of experience and younger players in there this year, which is really great," Broadbent said.

"Hopefully soon we will be able to get back to our usual training and getting some of the game plays running."

Leeton-Whitton's football sides have also returned to training in recent weeks as they prepare for a possible season start.
