Mr Bloomfield was appointed the new secretary-manager just as the COVID-19 pandemic hit and licensed venues were forced to close their doors.
He's yet to officially start in the role, but he is already rolling up his sleeves and getting to work.
The first item on the list was re-opening the doors to the club when restrictions started to ease.

The restaurant at the club did continue offering takeaway and delivery options during the pandemic, but the rest of the business was shut down.
The club has now been back operating for almost two weeks and Mr Bloomfield is hopeful residents will come out and support the business now and into the future.
Mr Bloomfield has had experience in the club industry prior to applying for the job at Yanco.
He worked at the Leeton Soldiers Club for many years in a variety of roles that he said has set him up well for the role at Yanco.
"I experienced pretty much everything at the Soldiers Club - the bar, reception, gaming, meals, cooking, serving ... so I'll be using all of that knowledge here at Yanco now," Mr Bloomfield said.
"It's obviously been quite challenging to start with because of the pandemic and the restrictions, but we are working through all of that.
"Hopefully soon everything can start getting back to normal.
"People right now can support us by coming through the doors or even thinking of holding a function here once that is allowed."
The past 18 months have been tough going for the club before the pandemic reared its ugly head.
The club's board has worked hard to try and get the club into better shape and that is something Mr Bloomfield said deserved plenty of praise.
"They've done a really great job," he said.
"I've got a lot of ideas and plans in mind, but at the moment it's just one step at a time."
