A MAN was taken to hospital and his motorcycle towed from the scene of an accident in Leeton late last week.

The 21-year-old motorcyclist was travelling south-west on Pine Avenue around 6.45pm on June 19 when a red Ford Laser being driven by a 67-year-old woman allegedly failed to give way at the intersection of the avenue and Belah Street.
As a result, the rider had no time to brake and collided with the driver's side window of the vehicle, causing him to be flung over the boot.

The motorcycle landed on the roadway.
Police and paramedics attended the scene with the rider taken to Leeton District Hospital after complaining of lower back pain and a small cut to his forehead.
The female driver was breath tested at the scene with a negative result returned.
She was treated for a cut on his cheek and was looked after by family after the accident.
The motorcycle was extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
The female driver will be issued with an infringement notice for failing to give way at an intersection.
