Ross "Po" Powell, 71, and Andrew Powell, 32, drowned trying to save a tourist from the entrance of the Sherbrook River near the Twelve Apostles on Easter Sunday last year.
The father and son were life-long members of the Port Campbell Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC), active in the CFA and SES and prominent figures in the local dairy farming industry.
Port Campbell SLSC member Phil Younis was seriously injured during the mission.
On June 30, the rescue mission will be aired on Channel Nine's 'Paramedics' - a documentary series offering insight into the daily lives of emergency service workers.
The episode, scheduled at 7.30pm, will follow the air ambulance to the site and show the in-water rescue of the tourist, as well as footage of the overturned boat and interviews with Mr Younis about his recovery.
The episode will also include a tribute to the Powells and the local community.
A Life Saving Victoria spokeswoman acknowledged Mr Younis for his "bravery in sharing his rescue story".
"The lifesaving community continues to mourn the tragic loss of Ross and Andy Powell during the rescue mission on Easter Sunday last year, in which Phil was also seriously injured," she said.
"The investigation into the deaths of Ross and Andy Powell remains open before the coroner and we are unable to comment on specific details."
Port Campbell Surf Lifesaving Club president Scott McKenzie said a tribute to the Powells would be well-received.
"I'm sure it will be extremely emotional for Po and Andy's family, and for everybody that knew them, but it will be a nice part of the show," he said. "It will give pause to reflect on losing Po and Andy."
