Junior soccer in Leeton shire has always been popular among young boys and girls.
With positive news that a town competition will go ahead later this year, youngsters can soon start preparing to lace up the boots.
In the meantime, take a look back at some of the matches of the past.
Here's how The Irrigator reported on a day of town soccer back in 2015:
Cool winter morning greets young players
A BEAUTIFUL winter morning greeted young soccer players for the final games to be played before the current school holiday break on June 27.
Some teams were short-staffed due to the start of the school holidays.
Several of the under 12 GDFA players stayed after their game and helped their teams to victory.
They were some great games played.
Town soccer action will return to the field on July 18. We look forward to seeing parents and players back on deck and ready for some more competitive matches.
