A LEETON man who police say is banned from gaining his driver's licence was allegedly caught behind the wheel on the weekend.

The 22-yer-old Leeton man was seen driving around 10.15am on July 5, with police stopping the vehicle.
Officers alleged the driver got out of the vehicle and was "irate" when he was pulled over.
Further checks by police revealed the man has been disqualified from obtaining a driver's licence.

Meanwhile, an MIA man has been charged after he was allegedly found driving while being three times the legal blood alcohol limit.
The 36-year-old man was stopped by police on Gordon Avenue in Griffith on July 5 around 12.20am for a roadside breath test.
After returning a positive reading, further analysis at Griffith police station recorded another positive reading of 0.156.
His licence was immediately suspended and he was charged with high range drink driving. He will face Griffith Local Court next month.
