SEVENTEEN players allowed for three games of triples to be played last Thursday at the Leeton and District Bowling Club.
Lorraine Mullins and Helen Symes defeated Judy Heness and Jan Fitzpatrick, with Joan Bourke playing a double lead.
Mullins took the lead early and showed no mercy, winning 11 out of 18 ends.
Janet Bell, Marika Pete and Baldvindar Glover were the drawn winners after defeating Elaine Sullivan, Jean Leighton and Faye Harris.
After winning three ends each, the score was even, but Bell was able to win two shots on the next three ends.
This gave her a six shot lead, a gap that Sullivan was unable to close.
Jan Fitzpatrick and Marika Pete both scored a resting toucher.
It was a very close game between Patti Wakeman, Denise Naylor and Gill Beer against Hilary Chambers, Lorraine Messner and Dian Colyer.
Wakeman started strong, leading by eight on the fourth end.
After a very tricky measuring, Chambers closed the gap, but Wakeman went on to win by four shots.
