The Leeton Visitor Information Centre was preparing for its first red carpet event, while the Leeton Youth Committee was planning its own soiree.
A Good Friday ecumenical service was held at Mountford Park as part of Easter reflections.
Schools were also getting into the spirit of Easter by holding their own hat parades and dress ups for the occasion.
There was triumph on the sporting field by residents and schools students, as well as on the harness racing track.

- April 6: Brisbane City Hall is officially re-opened to the public following a three-year restoration.
- April 10: Prime Minister Julia Gillard ends her trip to China with an agreement for annual leadership talks with the new Chinese Premier Li Keqiang. They also signed agreements to set up an expert group to drive co-operation on carbon trading, engaged in a new round of defence talks and agreed to work together on aid and development in the Asia Pacific region.
- April 13: The federal government announces $2 billion worth of cuts to the university sector.
