The Leeton Show Society had been working behind the scenes in a bid to try and get this year's event up and running while complying with current COVID-19 restrictions.
It was one of the last remaining shows in the region hoping to go ahead in 2020 following the cancellation of several others.
However, the Leeton Show Society has now decided given the pandemic still being a real threat, it was not feasible to proceed with the event this year.
While disappointed, society secretary Janne Skewes said it was the right decision not just for the organisation, but the community as a whole.

Mrs Skewes said the Leeton Show Society committee met on August 12 and it was unanimously passed by all that the show scheduled for October 9 and 10 would be cancelled.
She said the committee felt the current COVID-19 regulations would not allow the event to proceed in its usual manner.
It was likely also a decision the community was expecting to come down given every other major event and, even smaller ones in the shire, are not going ahead this year.
President Bill Aliendi said he had no doubt the community would miss taking part this year, particularly given the success of last year's 104th show.
"We regret that we have had to make this decision, but we feel that this is a sensible approach for the safety of our community," he said.
"The Leeton Show would like to thank our volunteers, judges, and supporters for their past help and look forward to continued support in the future.
"We would like to thank our 2020 sponsors who had so generously agreed to partner us. Hopefully in 2021 we will be able to hold our 105th show on October 8 and 9."
