The pair officially celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary today and, while they can't host the party they had planned, the pair remained excited to reach the significant milestone.
Both are well-known residents in the shire thanks to their community involvement in various organisations and sporting entities.
Mr Breed was also one of the go-to stock and station agents in town for years on end, while Mrs Breed also worked and the pair raised a happy family together.
They have three children - Joanne, David and Julie - as well as eight grandchildren.
Reflecting on their wedding day 60 years ago, the pair have nothing but happy memories.
"We were really lucky with the weather, it was a beautiful winter day," Mrs Breed said.
"We were married at St Joseph's Church and the reception was at the Soldiers Club."
The pair first started courting after Mr Breed offered to walk his future wife home from a cabaret evening.
"We knew each other a little bit being Leeton - you see people around," Mr Breed said.
After their wedding day, the couple started to make their home together in Leeton.
Their two eldest children were born before they briefly moved to Dandenong in Victoria before welcoming their third child into the mix.

After 60 years of marriage it is still evident to see the couple hold great admiration for each other.
Mr Breed recalls working many late nights and is still thankful for all his wife did for him and their family.
"I was often coming home late from work, which was hard for Beryl with a young family, but she always made sure we were all well looked after," he said.
The pair continue to be active within the community and are avid bowls players with the Leeton Soldiers Club.
Above all, they enjoy spending time with their family and friends.
They said the key to a happy and long-lasting marriage was patience, understanding and communication.
Their advice to young people starting out in their married lives today was to continually work on the relationship, even when times get tough.
"In my case I was the luckiest bloke in the world to find someone to put up with me for 60 years," Mr Breed laughed.
While their 60th wedding anniversary won't be celebrated with a big gathering of friends and family, the pair said they might consider holding a party next year instead.
