This week we bring to you the fourth edition from our April, 2013 series.
There's plenty happening in this latest installment.
The shire was gearing up to host not only the Leeton Art Deco Festival, but also the Rotary District 9700 conference.
The Rotary conference especially attracted a huge number of attendees to town and is remembered to this town as being a huge success.
The Leeton Art Deco Festival was held in 2013 and then reincarnated last year to become the Australian Art Deco Festival Leeton, generating huge interest at the various events.
The 2020 event had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19, but plans are in the works for the 2021 festival.
The future of the Leeton golf course was also on the agenda, with a community meeting held to discuss where to proceed.
As we now know, Leeton Shire Council eventually took on operating the course, which is something it continues to do today.
The school holidays were also in full swing, as was sport in the shire, including Crows netball and the Dianas taking to the field in the women's sevens competition.
