Member for Murray Helen Dalton recently submitted a community recognition statement to parliament, outlining all of the good work the op shop does not just in Leeton, but the wider MIA community.
"Besides the day-to-day business of the op shop, the store provides welfare services to help members of the community," Mrs Dalton said.

"The services come in many forms. Our country's op shops provide a great service to those struggling in our area."
As well as promoting the op shop on record in parliament, Mrs Dalton also recently paid a visit to the store in Pine Avenue.
She thanked all of the volunteers, staff and board members for their foresight, hard work and dedication to helping others.
One of the new initiatives to roll out from the op shop is the Ngumbaay Leeton events in Wattle Hill.
