With this in mind and the need to continue promoting organ donation, the staff at the Leeton Medical Centre recently donned their favourite sporting jumpers to do just that.
The team participated in Jersey Day, which is an event held every year to raise awareness of organ donation and the Donate Life network.
It is a fun way to start the conversation with friends and families about organ donation, with several schools in Leeton shire also taking part.

Last year 1683 lives were transformed by 548 deceased and 239 living organ donors and their families.
In Australia, 90 per cent of families say yes to donation when their loved one is a registered donor.
This compares to the national consent rate of 62 per cent.
