Leeton Fire and Rescue, as well as crews from several Rural Fire Service units in the shire responded to the house fire around 4pm on Monday afternoon.
Located on Barnhill Road at Wamoon, the property was well alight when emergency services arrived.
However, in some small good news, the home was not being lived in and no one was injured in the blaze.
"There was no possession lost or anyone injured," Leeton Fire and Rescue Captain Graham Parks said.
"We had one truck there supporting the RFS units on the scene."

Leeton shire resident Christopher Senti told The Irrigator the farmhouse once belonged to his Nonno and Nonna, who grew fruit at the property from the mid 1950s to 2004.
He said he was saddened to see the old home lost in the blaze.
Meanwhile, with the weather starting to warm up, Captain Parks has said now is the best time of year to start preparing homes and properties for the summer months.
With rain tumbling throughout winter and a reasonably wet spring expected, keeping on top of things now is crucial.
"For home owners it's just about making sure long grass is cut down and maintained," Captain Parks said.
"For those out-of-town, it's important to have those fire breaks in place as well."
This year is already a vastly different season compared to the same time last year where Captain Parks and his team members had already been called away to assist at fires across the state in what was then a long summer.
