Organiser Jackson Goman said it was great to see the progression the players made over a short period of time.
"We have about 25 participants who were always eager and enthusiastic to be involved," he said.
"It focused on fundamental movement skills that apply to a range of sports, specifically passing and catching, evasion, dodging etc. It also introduced participants to the basic structure of the game."
The success of the program has also seen Leeton Touch make the decision to broaden the reach of the local competitions.
"Because of this program, and the recent junior rep teams starting at such as young age, we have for the first time extended our competitions to begin with a Kindergarten to Year 2 division," he said.
"This will assist to continue the skill progression and apply the skills in a game format each week.
"Additionally, we are building on the foundation of the junior girls' rep team earlier this year; we are this year focusing on an U8 boys teams and an U10 girls team to attend Junior State Cup in Wagga next February, as well as an U14 boys team."
Competitions registration are open now and will come to a close on September 25. Registration information can be found on Leeton Touch Association Facebook page.
