Leeton's Montanna McCann has for the second time in her short life generously chopped off her long locks in aid of Variety's Hair with Heart initiative.
The St Francis College year 7 student has beautiful blonde locks that grow quite quickly, so with this in mind, Montanna wanted to do something special now and two years ago when she first braved the scissors.
Her hair is then sent away and made into wigs for children who have an illness that cause them to lose their hair.
On top of all of this, Montanna has also been fundraising for the organisation.
After setting a goal of $500, she's almost doubled that amount.
Her mother, Alicia McCann, said Montanna had shown a generous and caring spirit from a young age.
"We're definitely very proud of her ... this is something she saw her cousin in Sydney do and decided she wanted to as well," Mrs McCann said.
"Doing it a second time is just amazing. I think she was a little bit nervous when she saw all her hair coming off this time.
"Two years ago it was 30cm that had to be cut off, but this time it was 35.5cm, which is a lot of hair.
"We're also hoping Montanna might be able to be put in touch with the person who her hair is going to.

"She said she would like to be able to find that out and just see how it has helped them.
"I would say this is something she will do every couple of years now."
