We have just purchased a 14-seat Toyota bus that is in immaculate condition and is something we have worked hard for by everyone involved with our organization.
It will be used to tow the food van and volunteers for whenever it will be needed in our community.
MORE NEWS:
In fact, we will be doing another pop up shop again on Saturday at Gossamer Park in Wattle Hill at a new time because of the daylight saving and the heat. It will be now from 11am to 1pm.
We have plans for a Christmas Party for December 19 to also be held at Gossamer Park. This should be great for the kids and I suppose for some bigger kids as well. More news later on that one.
A bit of information for you:
Did you know at the op shop when we receive clothes donations and they are not quite okay to sell, we then we bag them up and we send them to Dubai, yes to the United Arab Emirates to then be dispatched be distributed to third world countries.
The op shop also sells bags of rags which can be used in businesses like workshops etc. They are $15 per bag. Orders can be taken and can be picked up from the shop. Just ring 6953 5664 and place an order.
The Cannery Tea House is also available for a nice coffee and a slice if you like and do not forget, lunch from noon to 2pm Monday to Friday. Very affordable and the Cannery Tea House is also a place is a great place for the community to mingle and, while there, pick up a great bargain.
