The team won their way through to the premiership match, their first in the Football Wagga competition since 2004, after a 6-0 demolititon of Henwood Park on Sunday.
So, how has the side spent the week heading into the weekend off?
The side returned to training two nights a week in a bid to make sure their routine not only stays the same, but to ensure they are at full strength for next weekend's huge grand final.
Players with niggling injuries now have the time to recoup and recover, which first grade coach Frank Alampi said was the beauty of securing the early spot in the grand final.
"The boys were all very excited after the win and I'm sure they still are, but they've all gotten back into it this week," he said.
"They are determined to win (the grand final) so they are still putting in the hard work."
Who will be playing United in the decider will be determined on Sunday afternoon when Hanwood and Henwood Park go head-to-head in the preliminary final.
Alampi and most of the side will likely travel over to Wagga to watch the club's other sides competing in preliminary finals and will likely stick around to watch their potential opposition battle it out.
"I'm not too sure really who will win," Alampi said.
"I think Hanwood probably go in as favourites, but I know Henwood Park will certainly come back hard from the loss against us last weekend.
"They are both very good teams, so it's going to be interesting that's for sure."
It has been many years since United has won a first grade competition, not just with Football Wagga, but also in the former Griffith fixture they were part of.

Alampi said there was still a big job ahead, but he was pleased to have come this far.
"It's also a testament to the club," he said.
"We've got three other sides playing for spots in grand finals this weekend.
"Everyone has worked hard."
