For some time now the Leeton rescue squad has been fundraising to add vital batter-operation equipment to its arsenal to help assist this fast-thinking and moving process when someone's life is in danger.
Previously, items that are now battery-operated required generators to get going, which could take time setting up and were hard to lug around.
These smaller, efficient items still get the job done, but in a much faster way.
However, they are costly, so this is where Leeton's Beyond Bank branch comes into play.
MORE NEWS:
For one day, this Thursday, October 22, the branch and the Leeton VRA are teaming up for what is known as "double donation day".
What that means is donations from residents, as little as $2 tax deductible, will be accepted via a link on the Leeton rescue squad's Facebook page and every single one will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Beyond Bank - up to $5000.
So, there's potential for $10,000 to be raised for the Leeton VRA in a 24-hour period.
"It's extremely good timing because we haven't been able to do much fundraising in 2020 due to COVID, what we could raise through this day would normally take us a year," Leeton VRA's Paul Smith said.
As the VRA doesn't receive any government funding, each donation is vital.
Those who can't donate online are welcome to head in store to the Leeton branch for assistance.
The link will be posted on the Leeton Rescue Squad - NSW Volunteer Rescue Association Inc Facebook page over the weekend.
