Sauce is a finalist in three categories in the awards which are run by the Public Relations Institute of Australia. The firm is nominated for Medium Agency of the Year, Agency Team of the Year and Sauce director Liane Gawne has been nominated for Leader of the Year.
"I'm so grateful for the commitment and passion of our incredible team every day of the year, but especially off the back of such a challenging period, which saw Sauce, like so many businesses, navigate a drastically changed business environment due to the COVID- 19 pandemic," Ms Gawne said.
"COVID-19 devastated entire industries and while it tested so many of us, it also brought out the best in so many people who, like us, looked for opportunities to contribute because we really were all in it together."
The firm's entry into the awards highlighted their response to the pandemic which saw any and all events cancelled or postponed with significant loss of revenue, and new service offerings were designed around people working remotely from home during the pandemic.
"This recognition by our industry has made me immensely proud with Sauce named finalists in not one, but three categories," Ms Gawne said.
"Whatever the outcome when the awards are announced on Thursday 12 November, we already feel like winners."
