Celebrations were put on hold for the anniversary due to COVID-19.
The official formation of the club dating back to 1950 when the first game of lawn bowls was held by women on May 10, under the coaching of Doug Moore.
The first meeting of the new club was held on July 26.
Inaugural president was May Andrews, with Mrs P Hinch the secretary/treasurer.
On November 25 members will be playing bowls before celebrating the milestone with a COVID-safe luncheon.
The club is the oldest women's bowling club in the Murrumbidgee district.
Pioneers of the club were active. In addition to weekly bowls they joined with the men on Saturday nights for bowls under lights.
Supper was served after and the women rostered provided sandwiches.
Soon after, the women were participating in district pennants, having their first win in 1956-57.
In the 1960s, several members served on the Murrumbidgee District Women's Bowling Association as committee members and match committee.
Over the years many members have won more competitions.
In 2001 the team of Marie Watt, June Marks, Barbara Gleeson, Shirley Ramponi, Edna Rice, Margaret Stoll, Elsie Buller and Marie Stiller won the No. 3 state flag.
The club has supported district and zone championships and the Towning Shield Tournament.
All travel in the early days was funded by catering from the men's tournaments and support from the Soldiers Club.
As a member club of the Murrumbidgee District, Leeton won the pennant season in 1955-56, 1958-59 and 1959-60. Leeton also won this district's championships in 1980-81.
Members have also served on the local committee, umpiring, catering and serving on the executive of the Murrumbidgee District Women's Bowling Association.
