The awards ceremony held on Australia Day each year is a large part of the shire's celebrations.
Nominations close on December 10, so time is already ticking for those wanting to put forward the name or names of a worthy recipient.
"We would love to see a large amount of nominations this year, especially in the achiever and young achiever of the year category," Leeton Shire Council's events and cultural services co-ordinator Suesann Vos said.

"This can include nominees who have displayed in the preceding year outstanding achievement in a chosen field, such as employment, training, study, voluntary work, art and culture, sport in the Leeton shire.
"Nominations are accepted in this category for individuals who have made a contribution to the Leeton shire, but live in neighbouring towns.
"Nominations for young citizen, citizen of the year, along with lifelong citizen of the shire must reside in Leeton."
With 2020 being such a different year there's no doubting there have been many "saviours" during this time, including emergency services personnel, teachers and frontline staff.

"There are many worthy recipients in our community, but they can't be recognised unless someone nominates them," Australia Day committee chairman councillor George Weston said.
"This includes the many unsung heroes who do so much to improve the lives of those around them for no other reason than a willingness to help.
"If you know of a person or community group who has gone above and beyond to help improve the life of others, don't miss the opportunity to nominate them for an award."
Nominating is easy and can be quickly done online at http://ems.gs/3CKG0dpcoYm or by completing a hard copy paper form which is available upon request from council or the Leeton Visitor's Information Centre.
