The celebrations had been due to take place in May as this was the month the club held its first meeting in 1950.
However, due to COVID-19 restrictions and regulations, the celebration had to be postponed until now when a maximum of thirty people could meet for lunch.
President Barbara Gullotta welcomed members and guests on the anniversary.
Leeton Soldiers Club board member Dom Delguzzo attended and spoke on behalf of the manager and board Soldiers Club.
He congratulated the members on their history and successes over the years.
Life member, Edna Rice, cut the anniversary cake, with a photo of the original members at their first president's day in 1950 was on display.
Lawn bowls was a popular sport for ladies in the 1950s and the photo shows over 50 members attending this day.
The club is the oldest women's bowling club in the Murrumbidgee district.
Pioneers of the club were active. In addition to weekly bowls they joined with the men on Saturday nights for bowls under lights.
In 1956-57 the club won its first Murrumbidgee district pennant season.
