Luke Docherty led the way with the bat for the Griffith side while Connor Bock took four wickets with the ball to help their side take a 96-run win to start the senior representative season.
Heading out to Hay can have its difficulty, but captain Jimmy Binks was happy with how his side performed.
"There is always some concern when you are coming to Hay to play them," he said.
"So to do it (win) so convincingly I was really happy with how it all went."
After winning the toss and electing to bat, Oliver Bartter and Jake Rand were able to get off to a quick start with 11 runs off the first three overs however Rand (10) fell to the bowling of Brad Pocock (1/34).
Talwinder Singh joined Bartter (10) out in the middle and kept the runs ticking over before Bartter was the next to depart when he was run out.
After Singh and Bock departed in quick succession, Griffith was looking for stability in the middle order, and that was provided by Binks and Docherty.
The pair put on 34 runs before Binks (30) fell to the bowling of Dean Aylett (2/28), Docherty was able to push on.
Alongside contributions from Mitch Williams-Hedges (11) and Ben Signor (12), Docherty (64) was able to post a half-century to help Griffith finished their 45 overs on 8/180.
Luke Arandt (28), Dean Aylett (19) and Simon Bunyan (16) gave their side a chance however Bock (4/13), Noah Gaske (2/10) and Williams-Hedges (2/18) were able to break the hearts of the home side as they were bowled out for 84.
With it being a young Griffith side, Binks was impressed with how the younger members of the side performed.
"We have always known that Noah has been a good bowler but for him to come and bowl the way he did today was good," he said.
"Bocky (Bock) just kept it really simple but did it really well with some really good stump to stump bowling. Even for the young blokes (Rand and Bartter) that opened the batting for them to get us off to a good start was pleasing as well."
