The home side won the toss and elected to bat and was able to make a decent start with 11 runs off the first two overs before Reece Keech picked up the wicket of Bryon Horrell (8).
Ash Cabban and Jonathan Doyle were able to set their side on track with a strong second-wicket partnership over the next nine overs.
The pair were able to put on 40 runs before Cabban (9) was the first to fall to the bowling of Hugh Collins.
The wicket did little to slow the progress from the Carpheads as Brent Lawrence came out to join Doyle and the pair continued to put runs on the board.
After a 62-run stand, which saw the Narrandera side get past the 100-mark, the wickets started to fall and swing the game back in favour of the Colts.
Lawrence (20) was the first to fall when he was caught by Matt Curry off the bowling of Collins while Doyle (57) fell just two balls later after he was caught and bowled by Mark Burns (1/28).
That wasn't the end of the wickets for the Colts as Collins (4/35) picked up the wickets of Tom Butterfield (0) in the next over, and while Will McHale (2) saw off the hat-trick ball, he fell two balls later when he was caught by Sam Hopper.
Jordan Camm tried to give his side a chance of reaching a defendable total but finding a partner who was able to hang around proved to be the difficult part for the Narrandera side.
Connor Vearing (6) put on 22 runs with Camm before he and David Cato fell in the space of four deliveries to the bowling of Reece Maguire (2/12).
Camm (28) added some late runs before he was dismissed by Ben Elwin (1/25) while the Carpheads were bowled out for 141 when Brodie Perram (0) was bowled by Keech (2/19).
If Narrandera were to have any chance of claiming an unlikely victory, they needed to claim early wickets and were able to do just that.
After the Colts scored eight runs off the first over, Sam Williamson struck to remove Mark Burns (0) while Elwin (3) followed closely behind when he was bowled by Williamson (2/22).
That was the last of the success for the Carpheads would experience as Collins and Maguire took the game away from Narrandera.
Both Collins (56*) and Maguire (73*) were able to score at quicker than a run a ball on route to posting fifties and helping their side pick up an eight-wicket win with 20 overs remaining in their innings.
The Colts will look to maintain their gap at the top of the table heading into the festive break when they head to Yanco to take on the Stags while Narrandera takes on L&D Ferrets.
