Those who were able to get hitched in January and February last year did so as "normal" before the COVID-19 pandemic really started to hit home as a result of the restrictions that were put in place.
Originally, weddings were able to go ahead, but outdoors. This did leave some in a panic at the last minute when these rules were brought in, however it was about to become worse.
Numbers were soon cut right back, with only the bare minimum able to attend.
In some cases and states, weddings were banned from going ahead all together.
But, while one of the big themes of 2020 was events being cancelled, so too was resilience - and the shire's couples planning to get married were able to show just that.
Some went ahead with changed plans, others reduced their numbers or moved their locations, but the one constant was not letting the pandemic ruin of the most important days of their lives.
The result was still the same - at the end of the day love always wins.
The Irrigator would like to congratulate all of the couples from Leeton shire who tied the knot in 2020 under trying circumstances and wishes 2021 couples all the best with their plans and big days ahead.
