Leeton Australia Day Committee chairman councillor George Weston was hopeful residents would turn out for the COVID-safe event.
"We're looking forward to getting the community together to celebrate all of our wonderful people here," he said.
"That is what Australia Day is all about. It's for everyone to share in."
The day will continue on at the Whitton pool with free entry on the day for those who wish to pack a picnic lunch and cool off.
Cr Weston said anyone who is hosting events on Australia Day this year at a location or venue in town is welcome to get in touch so a calendar for the day can be distributed.
"It's about getting together and appreciating that we truly do live in a lucky country ... I think if the last year has taught us anything it is that we really are so lucky to live where we do," he said.
