A MAN aged in his seventies was given a fright on early Wednesday morning when he was involved in a single-vehicle accident.

Police said they believe the man veered off the road around 6.15am on Irrigation Way at Wilga Road just outside of Whitton.
The man's vehicle left the roadway and crashed into road signage.
Police, paramedics and the Leeton Volunteer Rescue Association were called to the scene, with the man taken to Griffith Base Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.
Meanwhile, two Leeton shire drivers are now cooling their heels off the road after allegedly posting mid-range PCA readings over the weekend.

The first occurred at 12.30am on February 13 in Pine Avenue when a 25-year-old woman was stopped by police.
She allegedly returned a positive reading of 0.078.
The woman was issued a fine and her licence was suspended.
The following day a 23-year-old man was stopped in on Cudgel Street in Yanco at 12.40am where a roadside breath test allegedly returned a positive result.
Officers escorted the man to the Leeton police station where a further breath analysis reading recorded a result of 0.082.
He was issued with a court attendance notice and lost his licence on the spot.
