The Leeton Basketball Association said the scores were not always indicative of the contest or the improvements made by the players.
Round two will be held this weekend where the 12s and 14s, 18s boys and 14s girls play in Leeton and 12s,16s and 18s girls and 16s boys play in Narrandera. Players have been training hard in the lead up to the second round.

TRIALS for Leeton's Western Junior League basketball sides were held last year in October.
Heading into the weekend, the under 12s boys are on top of their ladder, under 12s girls are third, under 14s boys black are first, 14s boys green are 12th, 14s girls are seventh, under 16s boys black are second, under 16s boys green are 10th, under 16s girls are fourth in pool two and the under 18s boys are fifth.
