The Pro-Am will be held at the Leeton golf course this weekend after it was forced to first be postponed and then eventually cancelled in 2020.

Fifty professional golfers will be hitting the course, as well as around 120 amateurs.

"It's a little bit under, but the numbers are not far off what we would normally get," Leeton golf professional Jason Mimmo said.

"We would normally get up to 70, maybe 80 pros at this time of year, but there is another event, the Queensland Open, on at the same time as us.

"We've still got plenty coming down, so it's still going to be competitive."

One of those is past winner Matt Millar, who Mimmo is tipping will be the one to beat.

Matt Stieger, who lives in Narrandera now, will be another pro who will hard to beat having become familiar with the Leeton course.

Mimmo said Josh Helson would again be the one at the front of the pack in the amateur competition.

Speaking of the course, Mimmo said professionals returning to town for the first time since 2019 would not recognise the facility.

"It's in the best condition it's ever been in thanks to our volunteers, the new irrigation system, our greenskeeper and (Leeton Shire) Council," he said.

"It's looking amazing and it's playing really well."

Spectators are welcome at this weekend's Pro-Am, which will be held on Saturday and Sunday.

All rounds are a shotgun start.
