IN LAST week's Leeton Soldiers Club squash competition Monday featured a number of matches that went to five games.

There were long rallies and great court coverage in the match between top players Macauley Harrison and Trev Whitby which saw Macauley eventually triumph 3-2.
Domenic Fiumara won the fifth game 12-10 to clinch a tight contest against Naomi Rawle. Anthony Iannelli outlasted Zac Fairweather to win a hard fought match 3-2.
James Kelly lost the first two games to Leah Smith but recovered to win the match when he claimed the fifth game 12-10.
Nicholas Croucamp showed amazing speed around the court and downed Isaac Bunge 3-1.
In other matches Col Thompson defeated Will Rawle, Jacob Harrison was too strong for Blayne Thompson and Bryan Shepley beat Declan Ryan.

There were also plenty of close matches on Wednesday. Dion DeMamiel and Jackson Goman are two of the fastest players in the competition and their match was highlighted by great court coverage with DeMamiel winning 3-2.
Alayna Croucamp outlasted Kira Brettschneider to win 3-2 and Ondria Miller downed Katie McAliece by the same margin.
Matt Collins finished strongly to overcome Dawid Croucamp in five and Blayne Thompson defeated Brian O'Leary 3-2. Carol Davidson defeated Michael McColl 3-1, Lizette Taylor won 3-1 against Ian Draper and Simone Bruno beat Adrian Steele.
Thursday saw a brother and sister battle between Jack and Ruby Miller with Jack taking the fifth game 11-7 to seal victory.
Marnah Cunningham lost the first two games to Naomi Rawle but fought back to win 3-2. Narelle Ryan beat Ondria Miller 3-1 and Alayna Croucamp also won in four over Ruth Tait.
In other matches Angelo Fiumara outplayed Callum Ryan, John Gown beat Kira Brettschneider, Adele Thompson downed Brendon Looby and Sean Ryan defeated Garry Walker.
The club holds competitions throughout the year, with new members and players always welcome to join in at the start of each new one.
