The Leeton Eisteddfod was getting plenty of attention during this time, with the ballet and revue discipline attracting huge crowds, as well as entries.
Young teams were playing for their lives in football finals, while the Leeton Lions Club was recycling its old community directory phone book to make way for its new version.
An after hours event for young people was providing entertainment in a safe environment and TAFE in Leeton was preparing for the well-known WorldSkills competition.

Students were also taking to the stage at their various schools and early learning centres, showing the shire certainly wasn't short of talented young people.
