Last Thursday Ganmain travelled to Leeton to compete in the first round of women's bowls pennants.
It was a very tight contest with Ganmain defeating Leeton and District's Dot Semmler, Denise Naylor, Marika Pete and Faye Harris by one.
However, Leeton and District's Elaine Sullivan, Judy Heness, Hilary Chambers and Lorraine Messner won the other game by five, giving Leeton a victory by four points.
On Tuesday Leeton will travel to Wagga to compete against Wagga Rules Club as the competition continues on.
IN OTHER NEWS:
In social bowls there were nine players on the day.
This allowed for a game of pairs and a game of triples (playing with a double lead).
In the game of pairs Joan Lloyd and Joan Bourke were the drawn winners, narrowly defeating Jan Walker and Mary Payten 14-12.
The game of triples was also a close match.
Patti Wakeman, Gill Beer and Joan Arnold defeated Lorraine Mullins, Jan Carroll and Joan Arnold 13-11.
