It was no different in 2021 when the Leeton Cup was held alongside the annual fashions on the field component of the day.
Racegoers of all ages dressed to impress on the day, with many travelling from both near and far to display their outfits and hats.
With criteria for each section on the day, the judges certainly had a tough time when deciding who would take out each crown.
Fashions on the field co-ordinator Rhonda McCormick said plenty of thought and planning had gone into many of the outfits worn on the day.
"There was a lot of very elegantly dressed men and women on the day," she said.
"It was really lovely to see people putting little touches on their outfits.
"It really did make the difference and it all tied in so well."
The Leeton Jockey Club has been able to secure the April date for its annual cup meeting next year after it was brought forward in 2021.
