Murrumbidgee Police District officers launched investigations after a ram raid caused roughly $1 million in damage at the Leeton Soldiers Club on Januray 28.

Strike Force Irribin was then established to investigate the alleged supply methamphetamine in the Leeton and Whitton areas after investigations alerted officers to a possible string of crimes.

Following extensive investigations, Leeton Police and the Proactive Crime Team - with assistance from the State Crime Command's Robbery and Serious Crime Squad - executed two search warrants at homes in Whitton and Yanco on May 6.

Police allegedly discovered and seized methamphetamine, cannabis and prescription medication during the searches, with an estimated street value of about $25,000.

Officers also seized three unregistered firearms and a prohibited pistol, electronic stun devices and sling shots.

Three men, aged 22, 28 and 37, and two women, aged 23 and 38, were arrested as a result.

The 28-year-old Leeton man was charged with 11 counts of supply drug, one count of possess drug and two counts of breach AVO.

The 37-year-old Whitton man was charged with six counts of supply drug, one count each of possess drug, and possess prohibited pistol.

The 22-year-old Yanco man was charged with supply drug, three counts of possess firearm, two counts of possess prohibited weapons, not secure firearms, and ammunition offences.

The 38-year-old Yanco woman was charged with two counts of supply drug, and three counts of possess firearms, not secure firearms, and ammunition offences.

They have been refused bail to appear at Deniliquin Local Court on Friday, May 7.

The 23-year-old Leeton woman was charged with two counts of supply drug. She has been granted bail to appear at Leeton Local Court on June 22.
