The following week on May 23, a big hole charity day was also held to raise funds for the K-12 Gralee School to send a handful of students to Schools Spectacular and resurface the playground area and install new AstroTurf.
At this event, $2000 was raised. However, these total amounts are not inclusive of raffle tickets, the sausage sizzle and further donations so the total amount is expected to grow.
Mimmo previously told The Irrigator; "ideally we aim to hold up to five charity events every year to support the charitable work of local organizations helping those in need."
Next up on the calendar will be the St Vincent De Paul Charity Golf Day in June which is a joint fundraiser for Leeton's sister town in Timor Leste, Luro and then the Multiple Sclerosis Charity Golf Day in November.
Information about future charity golfing events can be found here.
