On May 30, 91 people were hosted at the Whitton Malt House for tours, raffles, lunch and plenty of fun.
Margaret Dalmau, facility manager at Lilier Lodge spoke to attendees, delivering some confronting facts about the incidence of cancer within local communities.
Lilier Lodge is a purpose built accommodation facility for people undergoing cancer treatments across the Riverina, offering comfort to those often experiencing the most challenging times of their lives.

According to Mrs Dalmau, in the 2019-2020 financial year, Lilier Lodge serviced 125 adults from Leeton and Whitton and 34 adults from Colleambaly and Darlington Point. Three quarters of those serviced stayed at Lilier Lodge for cancer, whilst the other quarter was medical non cancer related.
In the month of May alone, Lilier Lodge has been at 86% occupancy with 14 adult from Leeton staying at the facility. There have been a further 131 reservations, evidently the service that Lilier Lodge provides is not going unnoticed to those in need in the community.
"People just don't realize how many people in this region are affected by cancer" Mrs Nardi said.
"However I do hope by raising money we can continue to support these charitable organisations and the work they do to distract diagnosed cancer patients from the trauma they are going through".
Currently in it's 40th year of service to the Leeton community, Can Assist Leeton has supported thousands of residents and their families as they undergo chemotherapy and radiation therapy for their diagnosed cancer.
President of Can Assist Leeton, Mary Dodd said that all of the money raised by the community would go back to the community.
"Our Can Assist services are not means tested so our services are truly accessible to anyone who needs them".
These include services relating to travel, accommodation, hire of equipment, pharmaceuticals and general logistics and financial assistance.
Mrs Nardi would like to give a special thanks to the Cause for Cancer Crew who helped organise the day and took part in fundraising activities.
