Geoff has previously represented Australia at World Championships in Germany in 2013 and 2015 and has conducted Speedminton sessions at over 4000 schools across the country so far with Leeton High School, Saint Francis de Sales Regional College and Yanco Agricultural High School all next on his list.
He started the week of at Leeton High, his first time back inside the school gates since graduating as a student 40 years ago.
"The sport is absolutely massive in Europe, with national championships for the sport happening every other weekend during the summertime," Mr Bannister said.
"It's a fantastic sport for kids of all ages and abilities to play and it is very exciting for me to have these opportunities to teach them the sport, and have fun whilst doing so."

According to Mr Bannister, he is also the import agent for all Speedminton products and is a key player in bringing the sport to Australian shores, saying the simplicity and flexibility of the format is what makes it so successful overseas.
"The dream is to see the sport become mainstream in Australian schools," Mr Bannister said.
"It doesn't require much set up or equipment and it is something that I know I would have enjoyed playing myself when I was at school."
Mr Bannister also noted that the sport was especially good for students in country schools.
"Schools out in the country don't necessarily have all the resources or the facilities for games involving big set ups or a mix of equipment," he said.
"Speedminton is a great solution for that."
The game can set up easily on grass, courts, indoors and outdoors and can even be played in the dark.
